DiataGrow is an excellent source of carbon, enhanced water holding capacity/ retention and introduction of beneficial microbes. Carbon is the basis for soil fertility which enables physical and biological health, nutrient release, structure and moisture retention. Increased soil cation exchange allows for increased ability to hold onto essential nutrients and provides a buffer against soil acidification. These factors lead to enlarged, vigorous, root systems which are more efficient at harvesting soil nutrients/ moisture, with increased resilience to pathogen attack and environmental stresses.
DiatGrow – Plant available Silica
DIATAGROW also contains ~20% Diatomaceous Earth, a naturally occurring siliceous rock formed from ancient deposits of unicellular plants known as diatoms. Silica has been shown to enhance plant growth through robust root systems, thicker stems, shorter internodes, larger/ thicker leaves and natural resistance to bacterial and fungal diseases. Silica’s ability to help offset environmental stress like temperature, salinity, heavy metal toxicity and water availability has a positive effect on the biomass yield. Diatomaceous earth has a porous texture, allowing it to hold up to 120% of its weight in water.

BIOLOGICAL DIVERSITY comes from a wide range of ingredients and full composting process. The blend of manures provides a variety of dominant bacterial inputs, while the 20 30-week composting process facilitates further growth. A superior level of beneficial microbes contributes to soil health, working in partnership with plant roots to maximise ongoing nutrient uptake while assisting to suppress soil/plant diseases.
